Sophia Turningrobe


Operations Support Specialist

Sophia (Siksika Nation/Pauquachin First Nation) is the daughter of company co-founder Marina, and joined the Sister Sky team in April of 2020. Sophia is a key part of our product and service development team, assisting with the expansion of new innovative services for Indian country. Sophia is a diverse employee and a great asset to each Sister Sky division. Sophia works within both Sister Sky Products and Sister Sky Inc. She recently graduated from the Native Youth Grantmakers program with Native Americans in Philanthropy and is eager to bring knowledge about economic development, philanthropy, and the grantmaking process to Sister Sky. She is extremely passionate about serving Native communities and advocating for Indigenous peoples. Sophia attended the 2023 United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, and in March of 2023 met with the office of Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers regarding economic development for Native communities in Eastern Washington. She is an ActSix scholar at Whitworth University studying political science on a pre-law track. Sophia plans to pursue a JD from the University of Montana with a certificate in American Indian Law. In her free time, Sophia enjoys traveling to powwows and dancing.
