Marlynne Brown
Project Manager
Marlynne holds a JD and a Professional Certificate in Event Management and brings over 20 years of experience in federal contract management activities including federal grants and peer review and meeting logistics. Marlynne serves as our Program Manager on the IHS Suicide Prevention Training project and has led the team in the development and facilitation of virtual and in-person training services. Marlynne also serves as our Project Director for our NSF logistics contract for the Advisory Council Meetings for the Office of Geosciences (GEO) and the Office of Polar Programs (OPP). Passionate about her work in federal logistics and contract management she thrives on bridging the gap between resources and providing innovative solutions to our clients and our team.
Prior to joining SSI Marlynne spent over 15 years as a federal contractor in the arena of peer review management and as a federal peer reviewer when she was an administrator in the criminal court systems in Washington, DC, Maryland and Atlanta.
Currently residing in North Carolina, she is a native New Yorker where her family immigrated to from the West Indian islands of Antigua and Barbados and Jamaica. Marlynne is a lifelong Girl Scout and Troop Leader who also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her daughter and new puppy.
