Cree Whelshula presented at the 2018 ANA Grantee Meeting, which was held on November 28-30, 2018, at the Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Crystal City, VA. This year’s theme was Grounded in Culture, Cultivating our Future.

“As native people we have always known our language and culture is very important. The argument for language revitalization has been cultural identity but now research is starting to uncover additional benefits such as improved memory and problem solving skills; improved self esteem and self worth; decreased suicide and substance abuse.”
