Barbie Stensgar has 24 years of work experience in the fast-paced corporate world, and she brings her efficient and solutions-oriented approach to Sister Sky, Inc. She has 10 years of experience in management, training, and leadership, as well as strong skills in mediation, conflict resolution, policy research, and process development. Her attention to detail and organizational skills enhance the logistics support she provides across projects. Barbie’s creative experience includes product design, website development, and editorial creation of blogs and newsletters. She excels at social media marketing and has built, managed, and evaluated social media campaigns for Sister Sky since 2017.
Barbie obtained her associate of arts degree from Spokane Falls Community College in July 2019 and is currently pursuing her Interdisciplinary Studies degree in Race and Cultural Studies, Communication, and Business Administration from Eastern Washington University. She volunteers at the Department of Child and Family Welfare as an advisor on the Local Indian Child Welfare Advisory Committee, helping keep Native American families together. In addition, she volunteers her time helping parents advocate for their children who are experiencing challenges in the public school system.
Barbie is a citizen of the Confederated Colville Tribes and represents the Arrow Lakes Band.
